Well this recipe is designed to give you all the flavours of your favourite cheesy garlic bread in one!
This means that you can save on calories and win in flavour.
The great thing about this recipe is for it's easy to prepare and is done in under 30 minutes.
I love a good pasta dish!
As with most pasta dishes, the key is to make sure that you save some of the water that the pasta is cooked in.
Pasta water it's literally like liquid gold. Add this to any sauce that you're preparing to make it thick and glossy.
I used mozzarella cheese which means there was an amazing cheese pull when I tucked into this dish!

Cheesy Garlic Bread Pasta Bake Recipe

A deliciously cheesy garlic bread pasta bake thats slimming friendly and lower calorie.
Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped (add more if you like it garlicy!)
- 500g dried pasta
- 1 200g tub low fat cream cheese
- 1 tbsp low fat butter spread
- 250g Low fat grated Mozerella cheese
- Pinch salt and pepper
- 1/2 tsp mustard powder
- Dried parsley
- Pinch salt & pepper
- Note: Keep some pasta water from when you boil it
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180
- Boil the pasta as per pack instructions.
- In a frying pan, add the low fat spread and diced garlic. Fry on a low heat, being careful not to burn the garlic!
- Add the cream cheese and stir until melted.
- Once the pasta has cooked, add a few tablespoons of the water it cooked in to the cream cheese.
- Stir until sauce thickens.
- Add the mustard powder, salt and pepper
- Add a pinch of the Mozerella to the sauce as well, and stir until melted.
- Mix the pasta with the sauce, then add to an oven proof dish
- Top with Mozerella and dried parsley, then add to the oven for 20 mins, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
Notes:
Adjust the amount of garlic to suit your taste. It's easy to burn garlic, so when frying off make sure you use a low heat.
